Job Description: Digital Content Specialist (Marketing)
Position Purpose: The purpose of this position is to design, produce and publish high-quality

marketing, events and campaign content for Massey websites.
Department: Digital Content Team
Location: Palmerston North or Wellington preferred; Auckland considered

About this area The Digital Content Team staff are passionate, committed team, working
to improve the web experience of those using Massey’s platforms, both
internal and external. We are a team of content editors and writiers with
best web practice and technical web expertise.

Accountabilities
Content production • Crafting engaging, market-driven content
  • Meeting web best practice standards
Write, edit and
approve web content • Following Massey’s style and brand guides
for marketing • Creating content that is accessible
campaigns and events. • Ensuring content is accurate

  • Writing for difference audiences
  • Meeting plain English standards
Content Management • Manage content, images and documents across Massey’s public
Manage and publish websites and web platforms
content on Massey’s • Publish, review and archive content according to best practices
website • Audit content to ensure accuracy and currency

Customer Focus • Advocate for users needs and expectations
  • Simplify user journeys to optimise outcomes for users
  • Ensure processes are in place and are followed, to support continuous
improvement of user journeys.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred i.e., English or Communications, or a related
field.

Experience: • At least 5 years’ experience in web writing, content management
and/or digital marketing

  • Strong writing, editing and content development skills
  • Experience writing and publishing digital marketing and campaign
content
  • Experience with web content management systems and best
practices
  • Understanding of web content strategies and best practices
  • Experience with digital marketing and reporting tools eg Google Tag
Manager, Analytics and Looker Studio
  • A creative and innovative approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills, and able to work within a team
  • University experience preferred, or experience within a large
organisation
