The Role
Reporting to the FBNZ Group Credit and Receivables Manager, this position of Credit Analyst – Anti Money Laundering is responsible for the analysis and assessment of a variety of credit applications within Hire Purchase and Leasing for Equipment Finance, ranging from SME’s, Commercial, Large Corporates and Public Entities. Liaising with and supporting internal departments as well as external credit and debt management agencies.
Other duties include:
- Responsible for making lending decisions under delegated authority
- Provide consultancy and advice to key internal customers
- Structure deals into credit propositions
- Negotiations with external and internal stakeholders
- Detailed analysis of companies and industry from a credit risk perspective
- Develop and implement a credit rating process consistent with the company goals of local profit maximisation
- Maintain credit checking and approval procedures to ensure credit risks match benefits before new accounts are accepted
- Assess credit risk of customers
We are looking for someone who has strong analytical skills and a high ethical standard. Along with this, you will also have:
- 3+ years in Equipment Finance or commercial/corporate credit analysis
- Good understanding of Equipment Finance products
- Solid background in making lending decisions. Practical knowledge of credit analysis and debt management.
- Previous experience with fraud and or reporting under the AML/CFT Act
- A strong Team player who can work autonomously
- Excellent relationship management skills
