Job Description
If you like the idea of being a part of mahi that makes a fundamental difference to the lives of people in your community, then perhaps you should think about a role at Vector.
So much of what we take for granted in our everyday lives is enabled by the work that Vector is doing to ensure our infrastructure is fit for purpose for a rapidly-changing future.
If you think you’ll thrive working in a sector undergoing significant transformation, supporting critical projects of global significance, and can cope with that responsibility, then being part of the team creating this new energy future for New Zealand is certainly going to energise your career.
It’s a dynamic, energising place to work because what you do here matters to everyone.
Our role
This is your opportunity to join our Customer Excellence team in a role that supports and coordinates the scoping and contracting of a large volume of customer-initiated projects.
You’ll work with new and existing industrial, commercial and residential customers, establishing their requirements and working with Vector’s service providers to develop the scope and design to enable delivery. You’ll also manage project risk and maintain accurate, up to date project records.
As you are working directly with customers, you will be an excellent and responsive communicator. The work is varied and busy so you will thrive in this type of environment and have the ability to manage your workload and deal with a large variety of projects at any one time.
Ultimately, you are someone who actively contributes to create a great team environment and has a positive mindset.
Who we are looking for
- You’ll have experience coordinating projects or workflow, ideally in an operations or construction type environment. An understanding of project methodology and lifecycle would definitely be a bonus.
- You’ll provide continuing support to customers through your stakeholder management throughout the project cycle
- You’ll have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adjust your communications style to different audiences
- You’ll be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and a high degree of motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm.
Whether it’s the opportunity to do meaningful mahi and build a legacy for Auckland and New Zealand, to work in an innovative and transformative sector, or our commitment to supporting your development, there’s a myriad of reasons to choose a career with Vector.
