About the role:
As our District Sales Manager, you'll play a crucial role inspiring a talented team to achieve their full potential. You'll be responsible for driving performance, building new business pipelines, maintaining senior relationships with key customers and fostering a culture of excellence. You will guide and develop a dedicated team of Account Managers who will provide cleaning, sanitizing and operational efficiency solutions to clients in the dairy, brewing, beverage, protein and food processing industries across the South Island of New Zealand, based from our Christchurch office.
Your responsibilities will include:

Ensure your team of sales professionals reaches sales targets and objectives.

Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to help them develop their skills and reach their career goals.

Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and expand market share within your district.

Gaining new business with target customers
-
Managing and developing relationships with our client base across the region

Develop your team’s capability through coaching and professional development
-
Ensuring the delivery of the highest standards of business excellence to customers
-
Bringing Ecolab’s value-added services and innovation programs to assist our customers meet their business goals

Our ideal candidate may have:

Experience guiding and developing successful sales field-based teams
-
Demonstrated track record of gaining new business
-
Experience overseeing teams across a diverse territory
-
Ability to build, maintain and retain customer relationships across all levels
-
Demonstrated ability to articulate customer value
-
A full and valid driver’s license
-
The ability to travel with some overnight stays
