Electrician

As the Industrial Electrician (Day Shift) for our Lumber division, you will provide hands-on electrical expertise while leading assigned tasks & projects. You will have the opportunity to work on various plant, including Sawmil, Drymill and Kilns. Your primary focus will be ensuring the reliability of electrical, optimisation and control systems. Other key responsibilities of your role will include, are not limited to:
- Actively participating in preventative maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance
- Maintaining electrical procedures and documentation
- Assisting with breakdown work as needed
- Implementing minor projects
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities

About you
You are self-motivated with high levels of energy to get the job done.
You also have:
- a level 4 Trade Certificate (or equivalent)
- a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a NZ registered electrician
- a strong electrical aptitude and demonstrated practical experience
- good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferable
- knowledge and experience with Allen Bradley PLC systems preferred
- a positive outlook – team fit is a must
- good communication skills
- a willingness to learn
