We are looking for a person to support operations and build and strengthen our technical capability. The Farm, Process & Recirculation position offers the chance to step into a role that utilise your aquaculture farm and process skills as well as diversify your capability across operations.
KEY FOCUS AREAS:
Farm & Process
- Checking and observing paua to ensure behaviour reflects optimal growing
- Feeding, grading, harvesting, and packing
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Quality assurance, bio security and compliance
- Responsible for ensuring the sea water used on the farm is of the highest standard of quality and the water supply to the farm is uncompromised
- Effective management of site plant, equipment and assets, ensure maintained to required standards, and asset register up to date, and regularly monitored
What You Will Bring:
You will need to be mechanically minded and have an understanding of general and planned maintenance and be able to identify issues with water recirculation in the plant and on the farm.
Computer literate you will ideally have experience in a mechanical and/or maintenance type role and be keen to combine this with an interest in learning aquaculture farming and processing. You will need to be computer literate and a quick learner.
You will be comfortable working independently as well as in a team and have proven yourself to be reliable and with a strong track record of performance. Y
