Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As part of our commitment to sustainable growth and brand excellence, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Head of Brand and Marketing to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our direct brands and contributing to the overall success of IAG NZ.

In this influential position, you’ll set and lead the strategic marketing direction to deliver strong brand, acquisition, and retention marketing performance in line with the IAG NZ strategy. Your contribution will be instrumental in achieving sustainable growth for the AMI and State brands.

Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining a distinctive brand positioning and ensuring the consistent application of our AMI and State Brands across various channels and platforms. You’ll also lead and mentor a dedicated team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence that drives the commercial success of our direct brands.

This is a fixed term opportunity until August 2025 (parental leave cover), with hybrid working conditions based in Auckland.

Ōu Pūkenga | About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll have extensive experience operating at a senior marketing level, including managing a team and leading brand strategy. You thrive in a collaborative environment, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders effectively.

Additionally, you’ll also be able to demonstrate:

• Strong understanding of brand strategy, media strategy, retention and acquisition strategy
• Previous experience developing marketing personalisation, performance marketing and marketing analytics capabilities
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, develop and engage teams effectively to deliver results
• Advanced ability to solve technical and complex problems and develop new approaches and solutions and proven experience leading cross functional projects
• Exceptional stakeholder relationship skills with the ability to engage, influence and negotiate across own and other business units
• Powerful communication skills including the ability to communicate the voice of customer to diverse internal and external audiences
