Te Whānau o Waipareira

Internal Auditor

Auckland

FULL TIME

August 27, 2024

Are you ready to put your analytical skills and attention to detail to work where it truly counts? We’re seeking an Internal Auditor who’s bold enough to challenge the norm and bring fresh ideas to our Funding and Contracting team. This is a fixed-term, 12-month contract with the opportunity to make a real impact.

At Te Whānau o Waipareira, you'll be more than just a numbers person – you'll be a crucial part of our mission to empower whānau and uplift our communities. You'll evaluate and enhance our risk management, quality control, and performance processes, ensuring we stay on the cutting edge of compliance and efficiency.

Ka aha koe (What you will do):
  • Lead internal audits that drive impactful change.
  • Assess and improve internal controls across the organization.
  • Collaborate with passionate professionals to innovate and optimize our processes.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to senior management.

He aha ta matou e rapu ana (What we are looking for):
  • 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing or a related field.
  • A keen eye for detail and a knack for identifying risks and inefficiencies.
  • Strong communication skills to present your findings with confidence.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Mana Motuhake (Our Goal)

Te Whānau o Waipareira is a non-government organisation, operating locally in the heart of West Auckland. We are dedicated to creating generational change for urban Māori, delivering a broad spectrum of services in education, health, and social care.

Waipareiratanga (The Waipareira Way)

Here at the Whānau House, we do our mahi differently. As a new kaimahi, you will be warmly welcomed into a close-knit whānau, with networks spanning across the West Auckland region and beyond. We walk side-by-side with the Māori community, woven into a cross-generational story far bigger than oneself. As kaimahi, we take care of your well-being and provide a number of benefits:
  • Be part of a supportive, dynamic team dedicated to making a real impact.
  • Work in a culturally rich environment that values diversity and inclusion.
  • Locally based offices, near to public transport and shops.

A Waipareira career is YOUR opportunity to create a difference for whānau Māori!
