Mō tēnei mahi (About this job)
We are seeking a dedicated Kaiako to deliver the total immersion Te Pūkehetanga o te Reo Level 4 programme, in this is a permanent, full-time role.
This role includes, but is not limited to developing lesson plans, delivering material to tauira (students), addressing their learning needs, and assessing their progress. Some flexibility may be required for occasional weekend and evening work.
Mōu (About you)
We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge in te ao Māori, ngā āhuatanga Māori, tikanga Māori, ngā hītori Māori, ngā pakiwaitara, whakapapa, ngā iwi Māori, dialect differences.
You will also bring with you:
- A Diploma in Te Reo Māori Level 5 or a related subject
- New Zealand Certificate n Adult Tertiary Teaching Level 5 (NZCATT L5) or equivalent, or be willing to complete this during the first year of employment
- Full and current New Zealand Driver’s License
- Proven experience in a similar role
- 3+ years’ experience teaching in full immersion te reo Māori
- Adult teaching experience.
- Fluency in te reo and ngā āhuatanga Māori and ability to lead in these areas
