As an Orchard Supervisor in Gisborne, New Zealand (2 Positions) you will be responsible for overseeing the resources, functions and systems of key orchard activities ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the orchard.
Your key tasks as an Orchard Supervisor will be:-
· Supervision of group of staff members
· Supervise, identify and monitor orchard resource requirements/allocation including staff, supplies and orchard equipment in support of the Orchard Manager
· Supervise staff, equipment, areas within the orchards and supplies under direction of and in support of the Orchard Manager
· Supervision of orchard team members performance including induction, engagement, training, health & safety, conflict resolution
· Identify actions to continuously improve orchard operations.
· Relationship building with Orchard team members.
· Communicating with Managers to ensure industry regulations and standards are met
· Assessing crop development and job planning
· Inspecting task quality and production and monitoring to ensure consistent quality is maintained.
· Ensure new staff are inducted and aware of what is expected and understand the health and safety protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.66 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
