Job Description
He aha te tūranga - About the role:
The Major Incident Support Team (MIST) plays a crucial role in ensuring that Hato Hone St John delivers a world-leading response during major incidents and large events. As Volunteer Team Leader, you will provide leadership, direction, and management support to the MIST Volunteers.
Additionally, you will:

Ensure training on deployment as well as participate in or leading training for our MIST volunteers.
Support the MIST Volunteer Team Manager in all activities including ensuring 24/7 availability of resources and a maximum of 30 minute deployment time frame.
Participate in recruitment and selection and induction processes for new members.
As well as other duties that may arise.

Please note: this is a non-clinical role.

Qualifications
Ko wai koe - About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Experience in a similar role is desirable as well as CIMS3.
A current, clean full NZ Driver's Licence, with the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles confidently.
A First Aid certificate
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
To be flexible, resilient and able to maintain performance under pressure
To be physically fit
To be 18 years of age or over

New Zealand citizenship, permanent resident status, or on an open work visa.
