This position reports to
Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to providing necessary maintenance activities to achieve the required level of quality, costs and production capacity for active products. Each day, you will support active product through production. Over time you will contribute to new product developments including assembling prototypes and testing new designs. Reporting to Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this position will be based in Napier, New Zealand. The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Power Protection business in Napier. Main stakeholders are R&D and Agile teams for technical input and to SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Production teams. You will be mainly accountable for: • Developing and managing engineering changes in active products • Monitoring product/assembly cost and developing projects for cost savings • Managing technical documents for production (3D, Schematics, BOM, Assembly Procedure) • Establishing project specification for production • Converting R&D developments into products for market and readying these for mass production • Supporting for production lines. Involving problem solving analysis and investigating together with Quality/Process teams • Maintaining assembly and packaging instructionsQualifications for the role
- You enjoy working with 3D modelling tools like Solidworks, Electrical schematic capture tools like Autocad, and ERP systems like SAP
- You have You have more than 2 years of experience in managing multiple (change) projects
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- You are at ease communicating in English
