The Role:
Mc Cain Foods in Timaru is searching for a dedicated Manufacturing Trainer to join our team. As a leading producer of frozen potato fries and chips, we need a skilled trainer to help develop our workforce, ensuring high standards in safety and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on training and upskilling to production staff, particularly in the processing area.
- Review and update Work Instructions/Standard Works to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Organise and maintain accurate training records and competency management systems.
- Collaborate with the Training Lead to schedule training sessions and ensure all employees are trained in line with Mc Cain Foods' safety standards.
- Maintain a flexible approach to working hours, with some work required outside the standard schedule when necessary.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Effective communicator with the ability to clearly explain complex manufacturing processes.
- Mechanically minded, with experience in manufacturing operations.
- Experience with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word) is an advantage.
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week).
- Flexibility to work outside of these hours from time to time, based on production demands.
