He aha te mahi? What's the role?
As a key leader within our Planning and Supply team, this senior role is pivotal in managing the allocation and distribution of Zespri's $4 billion New Zealand supply. You’ll lead a talented Market Supply Team, working closely with teams across Commercial, Quality, Technical, and Shipping to ensure seamless operations and strategic market alignment.
You’ll oversee the order management process, lead specialized supply programmes (worth $40 million), and ensure all markets receive the highest level of service. This role requires building strong relationships with suppliers, managing complex programmes, and playing a key role in problem-solving throughout the season.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop the Market Supply Team – providing technical leadership, resolving issues, and optimizing processes.
- Manage people aspects such as performance, team culture, communication, and recruitment.
- Manage customer orders in SAP, ensuring service levels and compliance across NZ and global supply markets.
- Collaborate with the shipping team to plan freight logistics.
- Manage strategic supply programmes valued at $40 million, including negotiation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contract management.
- Drive programme performance by monitoring, reporting, and refining processes where needed.
- Identify market demand and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all requirements are understood and met.
- Lead procurement and contracting processes, ensuring compliance and optimizing financial outcomes.
- Ensure commercial frameworks are adhered to, oversee quality control, and manage relationships for direct domestic sales.
- Resolve quality claims, and ensure non-exported products are sold efficiently.

- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Extensive leadership experience, particularly in supply chain, operations, or commercial roles.
- Highly developed negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Flexibility in working hours, particularly between March and October, with occasional weekend and after-hours work.
