If so, our after school tuition company is looking for YOU to mentor and assist primary and secondary school aged children in Maths.
Previous tutoring or mentoring experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. To apply, you must be keen to work with children and be confident in Maths to a Year 13 level (Must have completed Stats & Calc, Level 3, in NEW ZEALAND in 2022 or 2023).
This includes being able to teach to up to an Excellence level at NCEA Level 3 Maths word problems NZ curriculum.
Excellent communication skills is a must for this role. You must be a people-person, with a good sense of humour and a friendly smile! If you're shy around people, then this won't be the job for you. It is also important that you are a team player, with a high standard of professionalism.
The job will be located in Newmarket, two to three days per week (hours from 3:15pm - 6:30pm, Monday to Friday). For this role wehighly prefer first and second year students due to continuity of job length (i.e available until end of 2026). Please note, that due to tutoring school children, we follow the primary school terms. We are closed for the majority of December and all of January, so this position is only suited to potential candidates that can commit to working during the school term dates of 2024 and beyond.
We are currently seeking tutors with availability weekdays from 3:15pm, with training starting in October.
