About the Role
Join our dynamic team based in Whakatane as an Operations Supervisor! We’re seeking an experienced leader to oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the efficient ongoing operation including cost oversight and managing a team.

About the Role
Join our dynamic team based in Whakatane as an Operations Supervisor! We’re seeking an experienced leader to oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the efficient ongoing operation including cost oversight and managing a team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supervise daily operational activities and performance.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings to enhance communication.
- Execute business strategy while managing costs for optimal profitability.
- Oversee waste haulage contractors and recyclable material processing.
- Prepare work rosters and allocate tasks effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Monitor site performance and conduct regular inspections.
- Ability to operate on site Yellow Plant
- Address maintenance and servicing issues promptly.
- Support administrative systems and ensure contractor induction.
Qualifications
About you
We are looking for candidates with proven experience in operations management or supervisory roles, along with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of HSEQ and environmental legislation
- Sound Microsoft office skills
- Moderate experience with mobile plant and machine operations
- WTR is required or the ability of obtain.
- Knowledge of special waste types and disposal methodology
- Knowledge of safe working practices of mobile plant
- Current Heavy transport Class 2 license is desirable
