Payroll Supervisor

About the role: We are currently recruiting a Payroll Supervisor/Debtors Support to join our team based in Christchurch. Reporting into our Group Head of Finance and Reporting this role has an oversight responsibility in ensuring the payroll function is carried out in an accurate and timely manner, along with supporting our Debtors Supervisor.
Days/Hours: 30hrs per week - Monday & Tuesday (8hrs per day) + 2 other days.

Duties wil
l include:


  • Allocation of work within the payroll team to ensure that co-workers are familiar with all aspects of the payroll function.
  • Oversee and maintain the electronics Timesheet system, ensuring accurate information is captured and sent to the Payroll and ERP systems.
  • Preparation and payment of wages and salaries for Isaac Construction and associate entities.
  • Generate PAYE reports for the 5th and 20th payment runs. Ensure reports and accurate and correctly prepared for uploading to the IRD website.
  • Oversee the operation of Pay Global and be the first point of contact.
  • To assist with general administration duties such as debtor receipting, daily invoicing, credit checks, customer account reconciliations, checking of contract payments, clearing of shared mailboxes and the monthly debtor statement run.
Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • Extensive technical knowledge and working experience using Pay Global & Share Point will be a definite advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and build on working relationships is essential.
  • Great communication skills both oral and written
  • Extensive experience in developing processes and systems
