We are seeking an experienced People and Culture Manager based in the Hawke’s Bay area to join our close-knit team. This fully remote position allows you to work from home while delivering exceptional HR support to our clients, with occasional travel to businesses in Napier and the surrounding areas. You’ll play a key role in employee relations, and compliance, providing tailored HR solutions that drive our client's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all core HR functions, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Act as the go-to advisor for client HR inquiries, fostering strong relationships while providing expert guidance.
  • Ensure full compliance with New Zealand employment laws through audits and investigations, helping clients remain compliant.
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and support clients through organizational change.
  • Provide training and development workshops to client teams, ensuring continuous growth and improvement.
  • Prepare insightful HR reports to guide client decision-making and improve HR processes.

What You Bring
  • A minimum of 4 years of HR experience, especially in employee relations and recruitment.
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with experience juggling multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with tikanga Māori or basic Te Reo Māori is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within Napier and Hawke’s Bay to meet with clients as needed.
