He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Planned Care Services Manager. This pivotal role requires a candidate with exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for improving patient care in healthcare services. A clinical background is desirable but not essential. The Planned Care Services Manager will play a vital role in overseeing and optimising the delivery of planned care services, ensuring a seamless patient journey. This includes coordination within the region and between external healthcare providers.
Key responsibilities:

• Utilise expertise to guide and support the planning and delivery of patient care across specialties delivering planned care services within the healthcare system.
• Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of initiatives to optimise planned care services, aligning with the Governments Health Targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, government agencies, and community partners, to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
• Report on and present data using the QLIK platform related to planned care and Faster Cancer Treatment services, ensuring accuracy and relevance to support decision-making processes.
• Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances, to support the delivery of planned care services while optimising patient outcomes.
• Implement quality assurance measures, including data validation, to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of planned care services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Government Health Targets for patient wait times and oversee the timely and accurate reporting of data to relevant authorities.
• Provide exceptional leadership and direction to the planned care services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
