Te Haeata/The Opportunity
The Principal Advisor will be primarily engaged as supporting the Operations Support Manager and the National Service Delivery leadership team to deliver our extensive work programme. The key focus of this role will be in managing and maintaining oversight of key pieces of NSD initiatives.
You will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of complex and innovative projects that support National Service Delivery to deliver services in line with key strategies.
You will be involved in lifting the capability of the wider NSD Operations Support team by coaching less experienced employees and may also be required to lead employees in a project environment.

Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience
You will have a sound understanding of how to support service delivery and business improvement through a service design methodology in a complex and changing environment.
You will need to be an experienced writer for this role and be confident developing documents for multiple audiences. In addition, skills in stakeholder management and the building of constructive and effective relationships will be important.
Education/Professional Qualifications and Technical Skills

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience; and a commitment to ongoing professional development
• Able to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and effective networks across and within organisations

Work experience

• Providing strategic advice at a principal level in a public sector organisation, or other experience in a relevant field
• Providing intellectual and professional leadership across and within organisations, including experience mentoring and developing junior staff and peers
• Leading complex projects to successful completion

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $110,766 and $154,680 based on skills and experience.
