Private Wealth Adviser
Auckland
FULL TIME
October 25, 2024
We are hugely excited about building a national team of exceptional private wealth advisers based in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch to create our new private wealth channel. As part of a high-performing network of advisers, you'll help build and support this newly established high-net-worth Member channel. With your strong business acumen and exceptional service standards, you will have an established professional network and the ability to drive new business opportunities. If you're a strategic thinker, consistently exceed Member expectations, and can proactively identify ways to add value continually, we want to hear from you!
Key Focus Areas for this Role
We're looking for someone who will uncover opportunities and pre-empt our Members' needs before they engage us, taking a holistic approach to their financial journey. You'll understand our Members' immediate and long-term wealth creation strategy by providing them with insights and sound financial advice.
You'll also contribute to developing and delivering a growth plan for the Private Wealth team that aligns with MAS's objectives. As a trusted Private Wealth Adviser at MAS, you will:
- Build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth Members, aligning with the MAS Private Wealth value proposition, in which MAS Members become your advocates.
- Grow your Private Wealth portfolio by offering personalised, member-centric strategies to help Members create, protect, and retain their wealth.
- Establish strong internal and external relationships to enhance the MAS brand in the market.
- Meet compliance requirements with a high level of professionalism.
- Take ownership and accountability, ensuring you are always the face of MAS for our Members.
- Work alongside your Member's other professional advisers to ensure you keep our Members at the heart of everything that you do.
Key Attributes and Experience
- Extensive experience in Financial Services 10 years +, preferably within a Private Bank or Wealth Management organisation in New Zealand or abroad.
- Financial Adviser holding the New Zealand Certificate of Financial Services Level 5 qualification with strands in Investment, Insurance and Residential Property lending.
- Proven track record in driving growth and acquisition, consistently exceeding targets.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and channels for better Member outcomes.
- Outstanding relationship-building skills, with a knack for developing and maintaining positive, trusting relationships.
- Strategic problem solver and influencer providing access to key business partners' expertise for our Members' benefit.
As a mutual, we're owned by our Members, so their best interests are at the heart of everything we do. None of our Members' money goes offshore, which means their investments contribute directly to the local economy and benefit other fellow Members.
We're committed to forming lifelong relationships by offering exceptional service, premium products, and expert advice. We're also community-driven; through the MAS Foundation, we support local initiatives that enhance the well-being of the communities we serve.
If you're ready to join a team that is making a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
