We are hugely excited about this newly created Head of Strategy and Architecture role. This truly is a rare opportunity to join us at the start of a large technology transformation, where you will take a leading role in shaping the future of our business. Reporting directly to our Chief Innovation and Digital Officer, you'll help support them with our strategy, as well as our architecture best practices and governance.

If you're a strategic thinker at an enterprise architectural level, and someone who thrives on a challenge and can proactively identify ways to continually add value, we want to hear from you.

What a day might look like

Defining, implementing and embedding the overarching technology strategy, ensuring the alignment of our business objectives.
Leading the creation and maintenance of the enterprise architecture, ensuring it supports our current and future needs.
Overseeing the modernisation of our legacy systems, ensuring seamless integration with new platforms and technologies.
Driving cloud migration initiatives, you'll guide the team in best practices and leverage emerging technologies where necessary.
Leadership will be a key part of this role as you'll be building and mentoring a high performing architecture and development team, always aiming to foster a collaborative and innovative culture.

What you'll bring

Extensive experience in strategy and enterprise architecture roles. If you have previously worked in insurance or financial services this would be a major bonus.
A solid grasp of modern cloud architecture, modern integration patterns and how we bring these things together through an Agile way of working.
A deep understanding of compliance and governance and how to embed these into our processes, ensuring consistency at all times.
Proven leadership experience and a track record of leading or significant support of a large-scale technology transformation.
Adaptability - you'll have a natural ability to pivot quickly, make decisions and back yourself.
