About the role
We are looking for an experienced, seasoned Programme Manager who is renowned for delivery and implementation, with extensive experience navigating complex regulatory environments. Prior exposure to the aviation industry and its outcomes is highly desirable. You will have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage constructively with senior management, work collaboratively and engage across the Authority and with industry partners.
As an experienced Programme Manager, you'll bring your multi-industry expertise to this dynamic, high-impact role. You will lead critical and complex programs of work, driving success and innovation in challenging environments.
You will be accountable for managing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of expected outcomes. Your responsibilities will include developing business requirements, crafting project business cases, creating procurement plans, and preparing initiation documents.
The employment is fixed term till 31 March 2025 because the Authority is developing and implementing a Flight Plan programme. Our Flight Plan Programme is a change programme that addresses opportunities for improvements to our systems, practices and organisational structures to align our vision and supporting activities. The Flight Programme will change how the Authority operates and delivers its services.
The salary band for this position is between $136,939 p.a. to $191,448 p.a. with a mid-range of $161,941. The pro-rated salary will be based on the knowledge, skills and experience you may bring to the role and relativities across the organisation.
What You’ll Bring

- Demonstrable experience as a Programme Manager with a background across multiple industries and complex environments.
- Critical judgment, with the ability to prioritise across competing objectives.
- High motivation with the ability to work with minimal supervision and the flexibility to handle change and re-prioritise work.
- Experience and understanding of the project environment, including common use methodologies, e.g., Prince2.
- Proven experience in a regulatory or large campus environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the core responsibilities of this role, with an emphasis on collaboration, communication and managing complexity.
- High level of proficiency in MS Office products and tools, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point).
- The ability to utilise project planning and scheduling, monitoring and reporting systems to align with project and organisational goals.
