About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and visionary Programme Specialist (Co-ordinator) to oversee key programmes and projects in our Wai-Atamai team. As a Programme Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping programme strategy, enhancing delivery, and championing excellence in programme management. In this vital role, your key responsibilities will be:
  • Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders to ensure clear accountability and collaborative action towards programme goals.
  • Reporting Coordination - Oversee programme-specific reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of deliverables.
  • Programme Design and Implementation - Develop comprehensive project plans for programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Identify Programme Delivery opportunities for growth and development with internal teams and external partners.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate programme project plans.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships at partner levels to ensure programme accountabilities are met.
  • Coordinate programme-specific reporting activities.
  • Design and execute programme-specific learning and change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure programme delivery standards and objectives are being met.

Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Relationship management skills across professional and cultural settings.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team, working in a collaborative environment is essential.
  • The ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timeliness through analytical and problem solving capabilities.
  • The ability to report effectively at a high standard and tailoring language accordingly.
  • A minimum of 2 years Project Management or related experience.
  • The ability to navigate Te Āo Māori environments & an understanding of Tikanga Māori knowledge.
