Job Description
Want to work somewhere where you are doing good for the world, your community and yourself at the same time?
Whatever your role at Vector, you’re an integral part of finding solutions for some of the world’s biggest challenges, and making a fundamental difference to the lives of 1.7 million people in the Auckland community.
If you want to do a power of good for yourself and the world, consider a career at Vector.
The role
Find true job satisfaction playing a key part in supporting the decarbonisation of Auckland and New Zealand and the move to sustainable energy solutions, as we create a new energy future.
With Vector Group’s reach across energy, technology and fibre, we’re looking for the best of the best across different functions: engineers, sales teams, developers, accountants, marketers, business development, lawyers and many more. We’re looking for a passionate recruiter to join our team and help find the talent we need.
You’ll manage the end-to-end recruitment function for your portfolio, with a strong focus on building and maintaining proactive talent pipelines and ensuring the provision of a robust and best-practice recruitment process and an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.
This position will focus on recruiting to IT roles, but you’ll be flexible and willing to support recruiting to other areas as well. You’ll utilise a combination of advertising and proactive search to attract and hire diverse talent, leveraging creative and innovative sourcing strategies.
Who are we looking for?
- You’ll be an established recruiter with experience in either/a mix of internal/agency recruitment, and providing an end-to-end recruitment service
- Previous experience within an IT/technology portfolio is essential, and you’ll be able to talk the talk with the technical nature of these roles
- You have a track record of leveraging creative sourcing strategies that successfully target hard-to-find talent, including internationally, and which strengthens the organisation’s diversity
- Your aptitude for data analytics helps you create insightful and engaging recruitment reports for your portfolio
- Naturally, your interpersonal skills will be your strength, helping you build relationships with stakeholders as a trusted partner, and to engage authentically with candidates and provide a recruitment experience that is second to none.
Whether it’s the opportunity to work on challenges on a truly global scale in collaboration with leading technology firms, or to build a legacy for Auckland and New Zealand through your work; or perhaps to work in an innovative and transformative sector, or our commitment to supporting your development, there’s a myriad of reasons to choose a career with Vector.
