Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role:
The Property Coordinator role is responsible for providing a high "service ethos" approach to regions, districts, and brigades, responding efficiently to customer needs, and maintaining a high standard of service delivery to ensure national consistency in the quality-of-service delivery.
You will also provide:
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport, influence others and maintain strong relationships with people both internally and externally.
- A sound understanding of the health and safety at work regulatory system.
- A sound understanding of the building regulatory system.
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role:
You’ll cover our sites across the Canterbury, Mid-South Canterbury Districts and be responsible for the management of maintenance to Fire and Emergency leased and owned properties within these Districts, and from time to time outside these Districts. You’ll liaise with stakeholders, users, external providers, and contractors to ensure the effective scheduling and oversight of planned, programmed, and reactive maintenance of Fire and Emergency New Zealand sites.
To be successful in this role, we’d expect you will:
- Have experience in the building industry, which could consist of either construction, design, building regulatory, cost management, contract management, project management or facilities management.
- Be competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Have a sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and operate within a regional / national team environment.
- Ability to lead projects from inception to completion, and ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Valid driver’s license and be willing and able to travel, including some overnight stays.
