Executive Assistant to DCE Kaupapa Māori & Cultural Communities – Flexible Location – Permanent

Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role:

As an Executive Assistant to the DCE of Kaupapa Māori and Cultural Communities you’ll focus on providing a first-rate support service. You will provide high level executive support including managing their busy schedule and acting as a first point of contact on their behalf. You will provide general administrative support, proactively plan, and coordinate meetings and events including a quarterly whakatau. You will also play a key role in supporting the Kaupapa Māori and Cultural Communities Leadership Team.

This role will be based out of one of our offices across NZ with flexible working options available. It is expected that the successful applicant will be available to travel as needed and to work from the office as required.

For this position, you will have strong experience in providing exceptional support at an executive level and will be able to get up to speed quickly. Your professionalism and adaptability will match this position’s importance, diversity, and pace. You will have strong attention to detail and time management. You will have proven ability to work collaboratively in a team to deliver exceptional support.

To be successful in this role, we’d expect:

  • Prior experience as an executive assistant to executive leadership within a large complex organisation
  • An advanced level of te reo and tikanga Māori
  • Experience in expertly managing and influencing on behalf of executive leadership
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and a positive approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities

The salary range for this role is $81,524 - $90,583 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
