Position Purpose: The Research Internal Funding Coordinator is responsible for the setup,
administration and maintenance of a robust and transparent internal
process related to internal research funds within Massey University. They
are responsible for leading ongoing development, modifications, and
maintenance on behalf of the Provost, for the suite of Internal Research
Funds managed by Research Operations.

About this area Part of the Provost’s portfolio, Research Operations consists of around 30
staff in four teams providing services to support Massey’s researchers
and research systems: Research Innovation and Impact; Research
Systems and Reporting, Legal Services and Research Finance. We caretake
pre and post-award research proposals and funding; run internal research
award and finance processes; administer research-associated
committees, policies and procedures, data management and analysis; and
provide legal advice to protect Massey’s interests.

Accountabilities
Support Research Funding rounds managed by Research Operations.
- Administer and coordinate assessment committees for all Internal
- Coordinate reporting requirements for Internal Research Funding.
Relationship with Research Operations, and across the University.
Management • Develop written and oral meeting communications including University-
wide announcements, agendas and minutes for Internal Research
funding assessment committees, and communications, letters and
support to applicants, that show a clear and complete understanding
through careful listening and analysis.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications: A tertiary qualification is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written constructive communication skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Power Apps, Share Point and
