Resource Management Planners - Multiple Opportunities

He angitūtanga | About the role
Fantastic opportunities are now available within the Resource Management Delivery team at DOC, to help achieve our vision. The locations for these roles are in our Hamilton, Christchurch or Dunedin offices. We are open to you being based in our other offices where this works best for you and your new team. This is a national team and coordinates its functions across New Zealand.

We have three roles available:
Resource Management Planner As a Resource Management Planner, you will be working with internal and external stakeholders and topic experts in resource management processes, including preparing submissions and attending hearings.
Senior Resource Management Planner As a Senior Resource Management Planner, you will be working within and across resource management processes, often in complex situations, and mentor and provide assistance to others in your team and across DOC.
Team Lead, Resource Management Planning As team lead, you will oversee and support team members and work closely with all members of the team and across DOC, manage workflow and outputs, keep an eye on influencing factors, and be a key member of the leadership team.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
We are looking for motivated and passionate people with a planning background, or similar in consenting, policy or consultancy – with a genuine interest in working with others to help achieve great outcomes for conservation in the resource management area.

Key attributes we are looking for:
  • Resource Management Planner - some, or developing, planning experience and a sound understanding of resource management, with a desire to learn and develop your skills
  • Senior Resource Management Planner - demonstrated planning experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide support to less experienced members of the team
  • Team Lead, Resource Management Planning - demonstrated planning experience, relationship, project and people management skills, strong ability to foster enhanced team performance
We are looking for people with an appropriate tertiary qualification in resource management, planning or similar, but above all people who feel inspired by and connected to our DOC vision.

The salary range for these positions are below, with the starting salary of the successful applicants being based on their relevant skills and experience:

  • Resource Management Planner $79,656 - $100,639
  • Senior Resource Management Planner $92,450 - $116,985
  • Team Lead, Resource Management Planning $95,706 - $128,271
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory – this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
