First things first! What is Twinkl? What is Twinkl's mission?
Twinkl is here to "help those who teach." It's what brings us to work every day. We're proud to create educational resources that can be used at each step of a child's learning journey.
Our award-winning resource collection - created by teachers for teachers - provides unlimited supplementary digital and printable teaching resources at an unbeatable value.
We have over a million editable resources, and new content is added every day. Don't see what you need? Just ask! We make bespoke resources for our members as part of our world-class customer service promise to help those who teach.
We support educators and children around the world, and we’re committed to transforming lives through education.
Whoever you are, whatever you teach, Twinkl is here for you!
The Role:
Like to hustle? Ambitious and proactive? We’re looking for the right person to join the entrepreneurial teams that comprise Twinkl’s core customer segments. You will be responsible for supporting the ongoing development and growth of our New Zealand ECE community.
You'll start as a solo marketeer, connecting with customers directly via various communication channels to highlight and demonstrate the benefits of Twinkl New Zealand’s ECE products and resources. You'll be moving into this position as a team of one with the support of many, so you’ll need to take a rapid iterative approach, employing different marketing and business development techniques to get the message out to customers. You will be commercially minded and comfortable in making decisions on where to pursue opportunities. You will be responsible for reporting monthly and quarterly in line with business expectations.
This varied role involves both proactive strategic planning, and reactive work as you pivot and respond to the demands of your growing market.
A typical week could involve any of the following:
  • Sales and marketing – spreading the word to new customers who we can help and support! Managing our ECE social media activity, planning campaigns and making sure the right messages reach our customers at the right time.
  • Creating assets for marketing projects aligned with the Twinkl NZ brand and your target customer.
  • Digital optimisation – looking at the overall user experience of the New Zealand ECE areas of the Twinkl site and working with our web and design teams to continuously improve this.
  • Write, edit and publish engaging traffic-generating blogs/feature videos/webinars that are highly relevant to your segments and generate clicks to the Twinkl website.
  • Business management and strategy – put plans in place to help achieve our ambitious growth targets. Working with other Segment Managers and your Country Manager to understand what’s working and how we can improve.
  • Showing tenacity and drive, going above and beyond to reach new customers and build your segment.
You’ll work with:
  • Sophie Beuth - New Zealand Country Manager (your line manager)
  • Charlotte Smith - New Zealand Classic Product Owner
  • Victoria Rudez - New Zealand Plan It Product Owner
  • NZ Segment Managers
  • NZ Marketing Team
  • Lots of other wonderful Twinklers across the business
To succeed in the role, you will have:
  • A strong entrepreneurial mindset and a propensity for action.
  • Thorough knowledge of the New Zealand ECE market, and of our customers.
  • Sound decision-making skills and diligence in seizing new opportunities.
  • Commercially astute and a strategic thinker who is comfortable taking calculated risks and being accountable for successes and failures.
  • Ability to communicate a shared vision and motivate individuals and a team.
  • Methodical, highly organised, accurate and execution focused
  • Social media savviness -Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok - you must love social media and feel confident running/learning to run multiple channels.
We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:
  • Experience (2 years+) and passion in the New Zealand ECE sector
  • Understands what good prioritisation is, and values output and results.
  • Is able to work across different time zones, both in New Zealand and England.
  • Is super-positive, optimistic and works well within a team.
  • Experience with Marketing and/or social media
In return for everything you can bring, we can offer you an exciting role in a fast-growing and dynamic business with plenty of career opportunities.
