- Permanent part time 0.6FTE - 0.8FTE (24- 32 hours per week) based on the West Coast
- NZ Registered Health professional with a Mental Health Scope of Practice & current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Experience within specialist mental health and undertaken talking therapies training is essential
- Working across both inpatient and outpatient settings

- Work across the coast (Northern, Southern and Central locations) as part of the treating team.
- Provides individual and group treatment options by utilising evidence-based treatment strategies such as DBT, ACT, CBT and other proven talking therapies.
- Integrated into the clinical teams across the coast providing input into treatment planning and evaluation as well as attending Multidisciplinary meetings when required.

- Excellent assessment and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work autonomously as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Understanding and application of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, with a culturally safe and appropriate approach to practice.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A strong understanding of Māori health inequity and Māori population need.
- Understanding of contemporary approaches to mental health and wellbeing.
- Proven education and experience in providing talking therapies and or group/individual counselling.
