  • Part-time at 15 hours (Thursday & Friday at 7.5hrs) (0.4 FTE)
  • Will be required to work 2 days between Mon-Wed initially for onboarding.
  • Fixed term position for 1 year (Split week - job share arrangement)

Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
You will work in collaboration with the incumbent Te Pātaka Operations Coordinator, to enhance the UC student experience by facilitating the day-to-day operations within Te Pātaka; you will provide administrative support for the Te Pātaka teams. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders; provide reports on flows and activities; and utilise feedback to implement ongoing positive changes for students. You will also have the skills and motivation to facilitate organisational change when required.

Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in administration services in a medium to large organisation. You will be an experienced people and project manager and will hold a high level of planning and organisational skills. You will have academic and general knowledge of students in an academic environment. You will have a high degree of initiative and an ability to quickly develop effective professional relationships. This is a front facing role, so you will have a bubbly personality, good sense of humour, and be calm under pressure.

Along with the above, you will have:
  • Excellent communication skills with awareness of and sensitivity towards cross-cultural diversity.
  • Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and valuing te reo Māori.
  • Competency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga is an advantage.
  • Keyboard and computer experience with the ability to learn new systems and processes
  • Ability to extend hours during peak periods (January, February and July) would be an advantage.
Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
You will be working with a diverse range of people both within the Te Pātaka and Puaka-James Hight teams. You will also liaise with Faculties, departments, students and visitors to Te Pātaka.
