Are you looking to build your career as a technician with an interest in Sensory & Consumer Science? Do you want to work on a variety of exciting projects?
We are looking for a technician to join our Sensory & Consumer Science Team in late November or early December. You will get to work with interesting people and grow your skills!
What you will be doing | Ngā whāinga matua
You will provide research support with a focus on the implementation of consumer-facing sensory research protocols. You will be involved in a wide range of facets of the research projects, including:

food preparation,
data processing and management,
survey administration, and
support for the general maintenance of the laboratory including Health and Safety.

What you will bring | Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A relevant undergraduate degree preferred (e.g. a Bachelor degree in food science, food technology or a consumer-related discipline). Alternatively, suitable experience in a relevant food-related area may be considered.
Experience working in an R&D team environment preferred.
Effective project management and accurate record keeping.
Food handling experience would be an advantage.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
A growth mind-set with the desire to learn new skills.
