Are you ready to spearhead a vibrant team and influence quality standards in food testing? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training and Quality Champion to take the reins of our dynamic team of 10. As a vital part of AQ's Food Testing leadership team, you will oversee all aspects of Sample Reception Technical and Operational Training, ensuring our testing specifications are met and exceeded.
Your sharp attention to detail and persuasive skills will not just fulfil but surpass our quality objectives. You will meticulously manage quality functions, maintain current documentation, including SOPs and training records, and ensure adherence to our stringent testing specifications. Your Key Responsibilities:

Coordinating the delivery of training, ensuring all staff are equipped with the necessary skills to meet our testing specifications.
Reviewing Trainers' work and providing constructive feedback.
Developing training plans for both new and existing staff.
Keeping the staff training matrix updated.
Managing Non-Conformance Reports to ensure quality objectives are met for Sample Reception.
Conducting internal and external audits in line with our testing standards.
Providing subject matter expertise in NCR's, LIR's, and food testing specifications.
Overseeing the update and review of all Sample Reception documentation to ensure it mirrors current procedures/processes and adheres to testing specifications.
Participating in continuous improvement projects and identifying areas for maximizing productivity and profitability.

To Thrive in This Role:
You need a science degree or relevant experience in a commercial laboratory environment. Experience in Technical Training, Quality Systems, Document Review/Control, and familiarity with food testing specifications are crucial. A mindset for continuous improvement, excellent communication skills, proficiency in MS Office Applications, and a customer-centric approach are essential. Your drive for results and service orientation will make you stand out.
