We are hiring! Join our vibrant team at a busy café in Newmarket, Auckland. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic waitress to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities and Job Description:
- Greet customers warmly and provide a thorough explanation of our menus.
- Set tables and serve beverages and food.
- Take orders and relay them to the kitchen staff for preparation
- Clean tables and return dishes and cutlery to the kitchen.
- Willingness to assist with dishwasher duties as needed.
- Collect payments for sales and operate point-of-sale machines and cash registers.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Work effectively with kitchen staff and fellow waitstaff to ensure smooth service and communication.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
Requirements for the role:
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a waitress.
LCQ (essential), as our café serves lunch with alcoholic beverages.
Previous experience in serving at functions or events is highly desirable.
Barista experience or completion of barista courses will be a plus.
Availability to work weekends and on a rotating roster during weekdays.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle a fast-paced environment.
