KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY REQUIREMENT:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Supervisory Skill
Generic Skills
- Work with other project team to oversee the entire process of the company's construction projects
- Prepare Progress Reports and Attend Meetings.
- Plan, budget, manage and document all stages of a certain project.
- Ensuring that health, safety, sustainability policies, and legislation are adhered to
- Plan and supervises the Mechanical & Engineering works on sites
- Check technical designs and drawing to ensure that they are followed correctly
- Manages construction projects from the preliminary planning stages to completion
- Coordinate and manage the sub-contractors on sites
- Submitting building plans to the appropriate authorities for approval
- Supervise and work with vendors, such as electricians or plumbers, to ensure that they understand their role
- Ensures materials and tools needed during the building process are available
- Organizing contractors including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers
- Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and the pricing of material
- Checking technical design and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
- Keeping track of inventory and financials while building
- Ensures heavy machines are used appropriately
- Must be Proficient in the use of Auto CAD 2D and 3D
KEY REQUIREMENT:
- First degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Building
- Professional certification from NSE, COREN or NIOB
- Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in construction industry
- Excellent leadership & managerial skills
- Must have knowledge of construction design
- Proximity to Victoria Island, Lagos is compulsory
