Job Description:
As a Dialysis Nurse at Silver Cross Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing specialized
nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. You will work closely with nephrologists
and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Your
role will involve:
 Preparing patients for dialysis treatment, including reviewing medical history and current
medications.
 Monitoring patients during dialysis, assessing their vital signs, and making necessary
adjustments to the treatment plan.
 Educating patients and their families about dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and
lifestyle changes to manage kidney disease.
 Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting all aspects of the dialysis
treatment process.
 Ensuring the proper functioning of dialysis machines and equipment, and reporting any
technical issues promptly.
 Providing emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns, and
ensuring a comfortable environment during treatment.
Qualifications:
 Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license in Nigeria.
 Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dialysis unit or nephrology department.
 Strong knowledge of dialysis procedures, equipment, and patient care standards.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
 Compassionate, patient-focused, and detail-oriented.
