Role Overview:
As a Farm Technician Intern, you will undergo an intensive technical training program, focusing on modern agricultural equipment. You will work alongside experienced technicians, learning the intricacies of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining critical farm machinery such as tractors, harvesters, seeders, sprayers, and more. This is a hands-on role that will prepare you for a career in agricultural engineering and equipment maintenance.
Scope of Work and Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing & Repairing: Learn to inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of farm machinery and equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems.
• Equipment Maintenance: Gain practical experience in maintaining and servicing tractors, combines, cultivators, sprayers, seeders, and other farm equipment.
• System Overhaul: Assist in overhauling complex systems such as clutches, transmissions, drive axles, and braking systems.
• Precision Farming Systems: Learn about the maintenance and repair of precision farming systems, gaining expertise in modern farming technologies.
• Irrigation & Spraying Systems: Assist in servicing and maintaining irrigation systems, spraying equipment, and other distribution machinery.
• Tires & Suspension: Learn the process of maintaining tires, wheels, suspensions, and undercarriages for various farm vehicles.
• Air Conditioning & Ventilation: Develop the skills to repair and maintain air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems in agricultural vehicles.
• Machinery Modifications: Participate in modifying equipment to improve farm productivity and efficiency.
• Safety Practices: Adhere to safety protocols and standards in all repair and maintenance work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Candidates from technical colleges with an HND in Agricultural Engineering (or related fields) are preferred.
• Minimum Academic Requirement: Upper Credit or equivalent.
• Experience: While no prior experience is required, 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in farms or related agricultural industries is a plus.
