KEY PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for transaction advisory, strategy development, commercial operations and generating new revenue streams for current/future operations. Through this office, incumbent provides key indices around revenue, and service delivery capabilities to properly position for future planning and expansion drive. The role is responsible for conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.) as well as understanding the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met. The role is responsible for providing leadership to ensure continued profitability, driving improvements in the customer experience, and striving to improve external and industry accolades
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Commercial Strategy formulation & implementation
- Build strategic partnerships between partners in Nigeria and out of Nigeria to improve performance and customer data integrity.
- Liaise with the Business Transformation team in Project viability assessment /business model development & validation for projects, including preparation of feasibility studies, business plan, and go to market strategy in order to position organization as #1 in the market etc.
- Stakeholder assessment/management and project risk assessment/ Value analysis / financial analysis (including financial model development)
-Liaise with the responsible departments in Project finance structuring, capital raising advisory support, Procurement strategy / contracting / negotiation support and corporate governance management.
- Develop Key Accounts strategies, policies and procedures in line with the strategic plan and responsible for the total revenue cycle and account management for all Premium Customers.
- Develop and implement business models in conjunction with the Business Transformation unit to enable company to be customer’s complete and first choice service provider.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing/sales plans and forecast to achieve corporate objectives for current and new businesses.
-Perform comprehensive evaluation to determine market potential based on regulatory, financial, and go-to-market factors, create the roadmap, garner executive support and integrate new market initiatives into the company-operating plan.
- Perform regular market and business intelligence to identify opportunities for incremental revenue opportunities for the company with existing client base (B2C) and across the industry (B2B).
3. Expenditure
The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:
Education: A relevant graduate business qualification. Postgraduate business qualification is added advantage (MBA or equivalent tertiary)
Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience with the last three years in a strategic management role
Professional Membership or Registration: Membership of recognized financial management body (ACA, ACCA, CFA) Possession of Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMI etc.)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead in translating broad business guidelines into specific commercial activities.
- Provide strategic direction for the critical start-up and growth phases to achieve successful delivery of projects/strategic initiatives and exceed performance targets for the business Unit. Key milestones to be achieved include:
- Build strategic partnerships between partners in Nigeria and out of Nigeria to improve performance and customer data integrity.
- Develop and Implement the Go-to-Market strategy, lead the business model development, negotiation and launch the deployment scheme in partnership with all strategic partners
- Originate, structure, coordinate and execute capital projects and infrastructure engagements with a focus on new businesses.
- Liaise with the Business Transformation team in Project viability assessment /business model development & validation for projects, including preparation of feasibility studies, business plan, and go to market strategy in order to position organization as #1 in the market etc.

3. Expenditure
- Present a yearly budget for management approval and prudently manage resources within those budget guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines
- Analyzing macro-economic outlook and corresponding investment opportunities.
- Developing and proposing potential investments based on the company’s investment criteria.
- Carrying out research and developing an implementation strategy for green and brown field ventures.
- Tracking industry events and activities and monitoring the performance of competitors, suppliers and other services.
- Designing products/ services in line with TSL’s strategic growth plan and monitoring the performance of products/ service life cycles.
- Generating Memorandums of Understanding and contract of sale for new customers.
- Liaising with various departments for actualization of new contract and ensuring new contracts are fully integrated.
- Providing business information and market intelligence on the economy.
- Performing M&A and Corporate Finance covering deal origination, pre-deal evaluation, due diligence (buy and sell-side), business valuation, deal structuring and divestment.
- Providing information memorandum, business plan, feasibility studies, and financial modeling for green and brown field operations.
- Managing Service Level Agreement performance of customers and undertakes contract review in line with contract specification
- Liaise with Head of HSSEQ on any health, safety or security problem which you cannot resolve.
- Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all staff under direct management and expected to contribute to the health and safety of all personnel in the overall business unit
- Build and lead an effective and cohesive commercial team
