We are working with a reputable and established retail chain of stores in Nigeria looking for a Head of Operations responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of multiple locations.
The job involves ensuring that all stores are operating efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. The Head of Operations will work closely with managers, staff, and the management team to implement strategies that drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of all locations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve overall performance and efficiency.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of managers and support staff at our distribution center
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and employee engagement.
• Collaborate with the CFO and the finance team to monitor expenses, manage inventory, and optimize financial performance.
• Maintain high standards of customer service across all our stores to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Work with senior management to develop and execute operational strategies to achieve business objectives, including expansion, market penetration, and customer retention.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party service providers.
• Ensure timely procurement of pharmaceuticals and other products to maintain optimal inventory levels and reduce understocking or overstocking at the distribution center and in the stores.
