Operations Manager (Administrative)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Operations Manager to oversee administrative operations, manage sales and procurement, and support the overall efficiency of our 10,000-capacity poultry farm. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Sales and Procurement Officer and ensure financial integrity and operational excellence. This role is critical to maintaining streamlined farm activities and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administrative Oversight
  • Oversee all administrative functions, including record-keeping, expense tracking, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with farm policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
2. Financial Management
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, manage payroll, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective strategies to optimize farm expenses and profitability.
  • Generate regular financial and operational reports for management.
3. Sales and Procurement Coordination
  • Work closely with the Sales and Procurement Officer to coordinate supply chain activities, including the procurement of feed, equipment, and other farm supplies.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers.
  • Support sales activities by tracking inventory, managing order fulfillment, and ensuring timely delivery of farm produce.
4. Human Resource Support
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of farm personnel as needed.
  • Manage administrative staff schedules, leave requests, and other HR-related activities.
5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Develop and monitor operational performance metrics to ensure efficiency.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on farm performance, sales, and inventory levels.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an agricultural or poultry farming setting.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, procurement processes, and administrative operations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (excel and word).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦100,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month
