ABOUT CLIENT: The Future Edge is a global consulting and business support solutions company. We are seeking ‘Operations Manager’ for our client; a leading intimate dining and event business in Nigeria.
JOB ROLE: Responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring optimal client satisfaction, and managing the overall performance of the business. The Operations Manager is also tasked with improving operational efficiency, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

JOB ROLE: Responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring optimal client satisfaction, and managing the overall performance of the business. The Operations Manager is also tasked with improving operational efficiency, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of all departments.
- Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Implement operational procedures and policies to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Monitor and evaluate guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and local laws.
- Coordinate staff scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with department heads to solve operational challenges and develop new strategies for growth and improvement.
- Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships to ensure adequate supply levels.
- Monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) such as occupancy rates, guest satisfaction scores, and revenue performance.
- Handle escalated complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in setting business goals and objectives and work closely with upper management to execute strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of event management, restaurant operations, and guest services.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in hospitality management software (e.g., Opera, MICROS, or similar).
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory requirements in the hospitality industry.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
