Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team and take responsibility for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development coupled with extensive knowledge of networking principles and technologies. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems through the development of custom software solutions, proactive monitoring, and rapid response to issues.

They will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems through the development of custom software solutions, proactive monitoring, and rapid response to issues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management Software Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom software tools and applications to manage our infrastructure.
- Automate network configuration, monitoring, and maintenance tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Integrate network management software with existing systems and tools for seamless operation.
- Implement robust monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address issues.
- Analyze performance metrics and logs to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, latency, and throughput issues.
- Develop scripts and utilities for troubleshooting devices, protocols, and services.
- Technical Support: Provide helpdesk support for hardware and software issues, assisting employees with technical problems.
- System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect our infrastructure from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.
- Develop intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS) to monitor and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices for security and compliance.
- Perform regular software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Conduct periodic audits and assessments of infrastructure to identify areas for improvement or optimization.
- Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
- Provide training and support to junior staff members on management and troubleshooting practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software management development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years experience as a software developer with experience in management and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C/C++.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, etc.).
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Wireshark, SNMP).
- Familiarity with security principles and practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Odoo ERP is an added advantage.
