Job Summary:
1. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Pay: ₦1,000,000.00 - ₦1,500,000.00 per month

Job Summary:
1. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage treasury reporting ( Cash forecast, Cash position).
- Manage bank reconciliations.
- Support the Treasury Manager to manage liquidity and cash flow ensuring business needs are met in a cost effective and prudent manner.
- Support the Treasury Manager to Manage and oversee funds requests, transfers and payment processing and relationship management.
- Manage daily cash flows/ liquidity and ensure availability of funds to meet the company’s operations and all likely contingencies under the directions of the Treasury Manager.
- Prepare cash forecasts and manage cash flows/cycles ensuring availability of adequate funds to meet the company’s daily operational requirements.
- Identify the need and request for funds from the Treasury Manager as required.
- Recommend strategies for raising necessary funds to facilitate the realization of operational and corporate objectives.
- Validate all supplier and vendor payments and ensure that all requests for payment are supported with valid invoices/ receipts and other supporting documents in line with the company’s financial policies.
- Oversee the disbursement of cash ensuring compliance with defined policies and procedures.
- Participate/ provide inputs in the review of the company’s bankers ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Manage the unit’s budget, review and approve expenditures as defined in the approved manual of authority.
- Continually identify new banking service opportunities and provide recommendations and/or business case for adoption of such services.
- Manage bank reconciliations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Treasury Manager.
- Manage the employees of the section by providing training programmes and coaching to ensure high quality professional performance.
- Communicate job expectations and appraising of staff performance.
- Provide guidance to the employees of the section in the execution of day-to-day tasks
- Assist in managing the unit’s budget and obtain approval for expenditure as defined in the approved manual of authority.
- Develop and submit periodic reports of accounting activities to the CFO.
- Ensuring adherence to HR Policies and Supervising compliance on various HR related actions for all employees.
- Set up KPIs for his unit and oversee designated teams in the execution of their duties, providing expertise as required
- Evaluate Accountants competencies and gaps then identify the training & coaching needs of his team, making sure that the coaching & training is imparted in association with the HR team
- Monitors key performance indicators; report periodically on the department’s activities as required
- Conduct performance appraisal evaluation of the team.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Identifying critical positions and successions for the same.
- Know and fully apply the company's QHSE requirements, policies, procedures.
- Take care of his own health and safety in the workplace and ensure that acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other people.
- Take appropriate measures to minimize risks to quality, health and the environment.
- Communicate any case of hazardous situation to the Top management or QSE representative.
- Engage in the QHSE system by organizing all mandatory training and awareness
- Propose and carry out improvement, corrective and/or preventive actions.

- Basic knowledge of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.
- Basic and up-to-date knowledge of best practices in accounting and financial regulations.
- Basic knowledge of the use of common accounting systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Basic proficiency in the use of MS Office tools such as MS Word and Excel.
- Sound business acumen.
- Very strong sense of ethics and integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership/supervisory and people management skills.
- Bachelor degree, HND or master degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or any other related discipline.
- Relevant professional accounting qualifications.
- Minimum of Nine (9) years relevant experience with at least three (2) in a supervisory position.
- Ensure accurate and timely cash forecast.
- Complying with all deadlines.
- Monthly reconciliation of bank statements.
- Ensure bank facilities are always available.
Pay: ₦1,000,000.00 - ₦1,500,000.00 per month
