Job Summary:
The Private/Corporate/Public Trust Advisor is responsible for managing Trust and Legal Services related to Public, Private, and Corporate Trust products within the company. The role involves implementing Trusteeship arrangements, ensuring legal compliance, managing relationships with HNI and institutional clients, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of Trust services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Trust and legal services, including Debenture & Consortium Lending, Estate Planning, and Bond Transactions.
- Draft, review, and amend documentation related to Trust transactions.
- Liaise extensively with transaction parties for documentation and correspondence.
- Manage and administer security documents and ensure legal compliance.
- Develop and prepare proposals to support marketing efforts and secure new mandates.
- Achieve income targets through strategic fee income management.
- Assist in implementing risk management practices and developing strategic relationship management systems.
- Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and facilitate future business.
- Support market-facing units by providing Trust and legal services and developing bespoke products.
- Maintain relationships with regulators and counterparties, and prepare reports and presentations for unit performance appraisal.
- Monitor macroeconomic and financial sector developments to identify opportunities and mitigate threats to the trust business.
- Provide regular updates to the relevant Department Head on business activities and resolve client-related issues.

Qualifications & Experience:
- LL.B. (Hons) Law with 7-10 years of post-call experience, including at least 2 years in a Trust Company, Commercial Law Firm, or Custodian.
- Additional qualifications such as LLM, ICSAN, or STEP (Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners) are advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory provisions applicable to Trust service providers, with a focus on Trusteeship laws.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to resolve legal and technical issues in Trust Transactions.
