Victory Empowerment Centre (VEC) is a micro-finance Non Governmental Organization (NGO) with a prime objective of improving the living of the poor women through innovative and flexible micro-finance services. VEC provides small, repayable business loans and services for women and supports other poverty-reduction strategies in places where VEC can make a difference. Victory Empowerment Centre’s commitment is to education, to mutual communication, and to furthering the Nigeria’s effort to alleviate poverty. Victory Empowerment Centre methodology is based on international best practices in micro-finance delivery, and is essentially an adaptation of the Grooming People for Better Livelihood in Nigeria and International methodology to local market conditions.
Victory Empowerment has various projects. Victory Empowerment Centre is planning to increase its Branch network in maority of the States in the uture, this is to further expand its network to reach more clients who are in need of our services and also extend this opportunity to other states. The following programmes will be in progress soonest to improve on the well being of the women and the society as a whole.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Recovery Officer
Job Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
A recovery officer's job is tocollect debts, including overdue and written-off loans, and to implement a recovery plan.Their responsibilities include:

Job Position: Recovery Officer
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
A recovery officer's job is tocollect debts, including overdue and written-off loans, and to implement a recovery plan.Their responsibilities include:
- Planning:Developing a plan to recover outstanding payments
- Identifying clients:Assessing the likelihood of clients writing off their loans
- Monitoring:Monitoring loan officers to ensure loans are recovered
- Reporting:Producing weekly reports on loan classifications and issues
- Communicating:Communicating credit-related issues to senior management
- Working with others:Working with branch managers and loan officers to execute recovery strategies
- Enforcing:Enforcing the company's credit policy
- Researching:Researching information to recover debts
- Visiting:Conducting scheduled and spot visits to debtors
- Attending court:Attending court sessions and petitioning law enforcement
- Liaising:Liaising with recovery agents for resolution
- Seeking approval:Seeking board approval for debt write-off.
