Sales Lead (Fashion and Beauty Vertical)

The Sales Lead for the Fashion & Beauty Vertical is responsible for driving sale growth and merchant
acquisition within the fashion, hair, beauty and cosmetics industries.
The ideal candidate will operate in Lagos but will also attract leads from other parts of Nigeria. This position
requires a deep understanding of the fashion and beauty industries, effective sales strategies and the ability to
build long lasting relationships with merchants.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Merchant Acquisition and Onboarding:
  • Identify and connect with potential merchants in Lagos and other regions.
  • Build strong relationships with merchants to keep them satisfied and encourage long-term partnerships.
  • Manage merchants who handle around 100-200 orders daily, helping them increase their sales.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Assist in creating a sales plan for fashion and beauty merchants, targeting both small and larger businesses.
  • Look for opportunities to expand our presence based on market trends..
Lead Generation and Outreach:
  • Attend industry events and use digital marketing to find new merchants, especially outside Lagos.
  • Create outreach campaigns using social media, email, and direct contact to attract new merchants..
Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
  • Stay updated on trends in the fashion and beauty industries to support merchant acquisition.
  • Monitor competitors and suggest ways to keep our company competitive.
Training and Onboarding Merchants:
  • Ensure new merchants are properly onboarded, teaching them how to use our platform effectively.
  • Act as a main contact for merchants to help resolve issues and support their business growth.
Sales Reporting and Performance Tracking:
  • Provide regular updates on merchant acquisition and sales performance.
  • Track key performance indicators and suggest improvements.
National Expansion and Scaling:
  • While based in Lagos, the Sales Lead will identify and attract merchants from other key cities in Nigeria (such as Abuja, Port Harcourt, etc.) to onboard them onto the company’s platform.
  • Develop a plan for expanding the company’s services across Nigeria’s major fashion and beauty markets, ensuring regional growth in merchant acquisition.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Fashion Management or a related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success in fashion, beauty or related industries.
  • Deep knowledge of the fashion, hair, beauty and cosmetics industries in Nigeria.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Experience in market research, lead generation and strategic sales planning.
  • Experience working with merchants who handle significant order volumes (100-200 orders per month) will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to travel within Nigeria for merchant acquisition and business development activities.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, social media outreach and sales tools (CRM software, etc.).
