Kahoot! is looking for a new team player to join our amazing team! The Data and Automation Engineer's main responsibility shall be to develop and maintain the workflow automation platform for back office processes supporting different groups of employees in Kahoot!, and secondarily build and develop the data platform.

Practical information:
This is an onsite role with the possibility to work hybrid (2/3 days in the office for example). The company can not provide a relocation package, nor a working Visa.

Main duties
The Data and Automation Engineer shall, among other things, be responsible for the following tasks to drive automation and productivity of Kahoot!-people:- Develop, extend, and maintain the workflow automation platform for back-office processes.
- Develop (smaller) solutions on the side of the automation platform where beneficial
- Assist with testing, debugging, documentation, overall quality assurance, and user training of projects and ensure projects are built to meet performance, security, and functional requirements.
- Set up processes while working in collaboration with other teams to efficiently meet the technical needs of the assigned project.
- Work closely with people responsible for miscellaneous processes in Kahoot and support them with ideas of how to automate and simplify.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Preferably a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics and natural sciences, or business and economics. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
- Proficiency in one or multiple programming language, including the ability to learn and use new languages for smaller tasks
- Experience with process automation and/or data analytics.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- A quick learner, as we constantly test and adopt new technologies to keep up with advances within the field.
- A team player that is not afraid to help out a colleague in a pinch, or speak up when we are on the wrong course.
- Experience with Python, Typescript, Javascript, web-frontend, SQL, Dagster, dbt and/or automation platforms like Windmill or similar will be a plus.
