As an Engineering Manager in Catalyst One, you’ll make a big impact on both people and products in a fast-paced Saa S company. You’ll lead and inspire talented engineering teams, helping them to grow and succeed while bringing out their best work. This role will allow you to lead important initiatives, both technical and non-technical, aligning engineering efforts with strategic company goals. You’ll have the chance to influence not just the product but the entire engineering culture at Catalyst One, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do as an Engineering Manager

• Lead towards success: You’ll be the go-to person for your employees. Clear away roadblocks, help them find the solutions they need, and support the teams in delivering great products.
• Foster a great environment and team collaboration: Your focus will be on making sure the teams feels motivated, engaged, and ready to tackle whatever comes their way. Promoting collaboration and teamwork among employees and fostering trust are significant priorities.
• Drive Growth: Oversee recruitment, onboard new team members, and be a key part of your employees’ career development and success stories. You’ll make sure the teams have the right capacity and competency. You’ll lead and drive strategic initiatives and own one or more prioritized areas of responsibility in Engineering.
• Stakeholder collaboration: You’ll collaborate with your teams, across teams, and across our offices in the Nordics and India. Cross-functional collaboration will be an important matter for goal achievement.

What we're looking for in an Engineering Manager

• Tech-Experienced Leader: You’ve been a developer, so you know the challenges – and you know how to guide others through them. Our tech stack might align with yours. We have a hybrid microservice architecture in AKS. We have standardized on technologies such as Java with Spring Boot on the backend, with React and HTML5/JS in frontend.
• People-First Manager: Your passion lies in helping your teams thrive. You believe in the power of feedback, support, and encouragement.
• Empathetic Problem-Solver: You listen, understand, and help find the right solutions when issues arise. You’re great at fostering relationships – both locally and internationally.
• Call to Banners: In a growing tech organization, there will be initiatives that need coordination or areas that need ownership. You’re not afraid to step up and lead!
• Technical education: You have a bachelor’s or/and a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, informatics, or equivalent.
• Proficient in Norwegian and English: You’ll need good communication skills in both languages to collaborate effectively with our local and global teams.
