IT Risk Specialist

We are looking for an IT Risk Specialist, who will be responsible for monitoring, assessing and supporting the internal control environment for IT Controls to ensure compliance with various regulatory requirements. This includes IT General Controls (ITGC) related to the area of responsibility within IT Operations, with special focus on IT change management, IT Business continuity management and IT security. The main purpose is to have good control of potential risks that may have a negative impact on daily operations, breach of policy or loss of trust. The candidate is also expected to have good understanding of the ITSM processes and technical background to support the IT admins in their deliveries.
Your tasks:
Collaborate with IT Risk functions to understand, assess and address operational and compliance risks and exposures through a risk and control self-assessment process.
Establish and maintain the internal control inventory for IT Risk department.
To ensure compliance perform the periodic testing of the internal controls related to IT Risk department.
Identify and mitigate areas of risk, which might arise from inadequate or failed internal controls, processes or systems.
Conduct an analysis of internal and external regulations to evaluate the adequacy of internal controls, operations, and reporting.
Identify and recommend changes to improve efficiency as well as process for IT key controls and process flow.
Monitor the IT risk events and ensure that these are appropriately registered and analyzed. Further evaluate the need for establishing controls for such events.
Support IT Risk Leader in reporting on key risks related to IT Risk department to management and other stakeholders in the bank.
Provide support to the IT change manager in governance and management of IT changes in the bank.
Support ITSM managers and IT admins in prioritizing, assessing risks and reporting on their compliance activities to various stakeholders in the bank.
Provide audit and compliance support.
Support in providing internal training on ITSM processes and risk management to various stakeholders in the bank.
Support IT Business continuity manager (BCM) in performing recovery tests and maintaining governance on IT BCM policies
Support coordination of mitigation of IT cyber security risks
Qualifications and experience:
2-5 years of experience in IT risk management or a related discipline (for ex. security, privacy, business continuity management or compliance).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
Educational background with a focus on IT or IT-risk-related disciplines (for ex. security, privacy, business continuity management and compliance) is beneficial
Skills:
Knowledge of common risk management methodologies
In-depth understanding of IT Service Transition within the ITIL framework (Change Management, Release & Deployment Mgmt., Service Testing & Validation and Service Asset & Configuration Mgmt., incident and problem management)
Experience with making reporting and analyzing data in Service NOW (SNOW) is a plus
Good understanding of risk complexities and interdependencies.
Experienced in conducting risk and vulnerability analyzes.
Excellent in writing reports, documenting findings and evidence and writing procedures and guidelines.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral in English.
